SKILLS TRAINING
Behaviors evolve as a way to cope with difficulties, or as attempts to solve situations. While these behaviors might provide a short-term solution, some are often ineffective in the long term and can be problematic. ​Skills training and teaching are used to help people use new skills and strategies to develop a life they experience as worth living. 
TRAUMA THERAPY*

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful memories and the manifestation of physical pain. Anxiety, shame, anger, and hopelessness are just a few emotions that can linger after an overwhelming event. We can help you overcome these symptoms, and guide you through the process of grief and healing. 
PSYCHOTHERAPY
Also known as "talk therapy", we provide a safe space for you to collaborate with an objective individual regarding any uncomfortable emotions that you're experiencing. 
Psychotherapy can be incredibly validating.  However, after some time, we may suggest various therapeutic activities that might lead you toward actualized change.
*IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER

Often clients have come to us after receiving incredibly overwhelming and painful "Trauma Therapy" with past providers in the history of their therapeutic care. 
Please know that at Agave Counseling Services, your processing will always be within your control and with the validation and support of an expertly trained provider.
